Mending Workshop at Clove & Creek in Hudson
$10 / Purchase your ticket here
Join us along with our friends at Clove & Creek and British lifestyle brand TOAST to discover the art of visible mending. In this workshop, our repair specialist Anna Svoboda-Stel will show you how to repair and restore your beloved clothing and homeware textiles – whether it’s a fraying pillowcase, a torn tea towel or a linen garment that needs some care.
Using patches of leftover fabric from the TOAST production process, Anna will demonstrate how to mend both small and large holes and tears using traditional techniques, inspired by kantha stitching and sashiko repair.
This workshop is suitable for beginners. Mending materials and morning refreshments will be provided - please bring along an item you would like to repair; alternatively you will be able to learn the techniques and create a small sampler. Your receipt of purchase is your ticket for the event; please bring with you.
